The EasyDA engine is the “back-end” engine that your OPC Client applications will communicate with. This engine will intelligently maintain your OPC Server connections and will broker every transaction you request.
The engine can run in-process or out-of-process. This choice gives you the ultimate flexibility especially for systems that will utilize multiple OPC Client applications on a single computer. The engine can intelligently reduce the the amount of I/O to the OPC Server (and thus, your PLCs/Devices) by automatically consolidating multiple client requests into a single call at the OPC Server.
In-process allows each of your applications to perform at maximum speed as each application utilizes its own instance of engine.
Out-of-process allows the engine to load in its own address space, providing a common engine for all clients on a computer to access.
